Who is this for?

This workshop is for anyone who loves nature and wants to find a new way to enjoy it. I aim to improve people’s wellbeing by helping them find an activity that combines their curiosity, creativity and love for nature and its shapes.

This workshop is suitable for ages 8+ .

You don’t need to know how to draw, paint or even sketch!

What to expect:

During this workshop I will start showing the participants examples of the things they can create. Then I will continue with the safety measures to then hand them an A5 piece of paper previously coated with cyanotype chemistry/UV sensitive paper.

I will ask participants to create a composition by arranging leaves, flowers, feathers or any other objects they want to print on the paper, they can take their time, I won't rush them! I will then proceed to put a clear glass sheet (all edges are protected) on top and hold it tight using binding/bulldog clips.

Depending on the weather, we will be using natural sunlight or a UV light bulb to expose the images. This can take from 1 to 3 minutes. Up to 8 minutes if using natural light - weather dependant. We will proceed to wash our prints. Each participant will have access to a bowl with water to wash their prints.

While the paper is left to soak for a few minutes we will do it all again and create more prints!

You should be able to create at least 3 prints. At the end we will hang our prints to dry, a process that will reveal the final results.
